Central Lemma For Verbs Which Produce Sounds

There are a lot of verbs in English which are not necessarily synonyms of each other but are similar in that they all mean making certain, specific sounds.

en.wiki connnects all these verbs together in a central lemma with the make sound page.

I think this is a nice way to help readers find other “sound” verbs and organizes it well. I started something similar on our noise lemma on el.wiki. Maybe a category would be better for this? What are your thoughts?

☏ Stephilippou, concerning a en:WT:Thesaurus. (links: enwikt Thesaurus for 'make sound', lemma sound)

el.wikt does not have θησαυρός Νamespace (Βικιλεξικό:Ονοματοχώροι: no Θησαυρός, en:WT:Namespace Thesaurus wikt:en:WT:Thesaurus is n.110). I don't know how many times you have used a thesaurus ^(en) in your life. (e.g. the Roget's Thesaurus). It is mainly targeting semantic classes (all the -nyms: hyponyms, meronyms, etc)

Readers, might be much more assisted by Appendices Κατηγορία:Παραρτήματα (αγγλικά); where you are free to include all kinds of words, categorising them in many ways: e.g. Sound (Μέρη του λόγου: ουσιαστικά, ρήματα κλπ. στη φυσική, χρονομέτρηση, ημερολόγιο, sυσκευές, επαγγέλματα ήχου and so on

See an example at enwikt en:Appendix:Greek phrasebook/Time + en:Appendix:Greek vocabulary/Time (I think, here στο Βικιλεξικό phrases and words should be one Appendix, not two). Always including a short translation, this is very very useful. Appendices are the way for an editor to present his study of one σημασία.

PS, as a sidenote, you might also consider in the future using desktop as well. We usually, prepare our work at some text file like Notepad .txt or similar, and publish our final work, to avoid repetitive edits. It is ok to edit in the way that suits you best, but flooding Ιστορικό is not terribly attractive. ‑‑Sarri.greek ^♫ | 11:29, 20 Ιουνίου 2023 (UTC)

I have never created an appendix before so I’m not sure how to and there aren’t many English examples. Maybe if you could start one I could copy the format you use and work from there.
