→‎Feminine forms of nouns in "-ίας": mistakes circulating at internet
Γραμμή 1.414:
::: Saltmarsh _1.the m/f is only for -ίας Not for -ίστας. -ίστας has different feminines: η , or for borrowed words 0 en f. η en and only spuriously η πιανίστρια -this last one i never ever use: there is no european word pianistr-)
::: _2. I know that en.wikt is keen on recording internet because of the 'descriptive'-principal. We do this here too: we mention them. BUT: especially for highly inflected languages, to see fat mistakes circulating at internet, written by just anyone, is very common. But they are still mistakes, until a dictionary, an Institute, or a famous philologist accepts it. We cannot take the responsibility to say "this en! is now accepted, you may write it in your texts" We do not have official statistics. There is a criterion of occurances in texts: whose texts, what texts, unofficial texts have to be in an overwhelming ratio, in order to be accepted. We do not make lemmata for them (:Κατηγορία:Ανορθογραφίες (νέα ελληνικά)) &#8209;&#8209;Sarri.greek&nbsp;&#9835;&nbsp;| 16:02, 15 Οκτωβρίου 2020 (UTC)
:::: Sarri.greek I think your edits do the job. All these templates use "el-decl-noun" which expects to get a Greek term with no superscripts etc (because it adds the translit) - and I would not like us to start generating "specials". I think that the table after your edit is clear. I'll set about things and let you know before I make any irrevocable changes. — <span style="color: DodgerBlue">Salt</span><span style="color: Magenta">marsh</span>. 17:42, 15 Οκτωβρίου 2020 (UTC)
